Green Lane 20-04-08

Laners:-

Kevin Taylor,

Ian and Jackie Thomas (New member Joined on the day)

Bit of a damp wet start to the day and only one show, Ian and his wife Jackie who had driven 2 hours for green laning with the club, only problem was not much of the club turned up, just me.

Took them down to pant for the first lane, same as we drove last month but still new to Ian.

On to Glantanant Isaf and a climb up past Rhos-y-Brithdir were we met the farmer, he was alright once he new we were part of a local club.

On past Llangynog for a quick stop. Up past Pencraig and Tyn-y-ffynonydd with some amazing views to the next lane towards Pennant and onto Llandrillo for the Wayfarer. This was very enjoyable with some very tight sections. The weather had a turn for the worst while on top of the Wayfarer with visibility quite reduced.

From Llanarmon DC up to Ty’n-y-pistyll along a nice lane with plenty of variety, mud gravel and rocks.

From Nant-y-Dramwys Wood towards Glyn Ceriog along a lane marked up as Cefn Canol. This was a big surprise as it was essentially a ‘V’ gulley with no room to spare. Ian and Jackie in their Maverick didn’t miss a beat, I was very impressed with there car.

Then a couple on the way back to town and finished for just gone 3:00, well for me Ian and Jackie had a 2 hour drive home.

Next green lane day 25th May
