First lane was at Bronygarth, nothing too bad here but a very pleasant start with a couple of tight parts and even some ‘fly tipping’ for variety.
Next up through Warren Wood for some good muddy tracks under the trees and onward to Llwybr Ceiriog Trail for some wonderful views of the Vale of Llangollen.
A quick stop in Llangollen for the ladies and onto Glyndyfrdwy. This is a nice track that takes us up through Ceiriog Forest with some super
views on the way.
Narrowly missing a herd of walkers (they were to quick) we headed of on the Upper Ceiriog Way. This is a very nice track with rock and stone up hill at the start then plenty of mud ruts and loose stone. This bought us down towards Tregeiriog, and a quick stop in Glyn Ceiriog for food and chat.
Fully refreshed back down the road and across the river into Sringhill Wood and some very very good lanes. Mostly open with a lot of deep muddy puddles, no one had a clean car at the end of these, very enjoyable for all.
We met a one eyed Disco in Llanarmon DC, an Astra being driven a bit quick round a corner hit the Disco’s ‘Tube’ bumper and opened itself up like a tin can. You had to feel sorry for the Disco, it’s light had fallen out!!
Off to the Wayfarer. This is a lane most of us have done many times before but I had not taken the lower track before. What a surprise, this part of the track is called the steps, tight, rocky and steep, another excellent green lane. That was it, we finished at 4.00pm. Everyone had a great day.
